Take Your Child to Work Day

Take Your Child to Work Day is an annual event that aims to expose children (both girls and boys) to the various career opportunities that are available to them. Started by the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993, the program is held on the fourth Thursday in April and is designed to get parents to take their children to work with them for one day. While the program was initially developed to encourage girls to learn more about career opportunities and help improve their self-esteem, the program was eventually amended to include boys as well.
