With a style that incorporates Cajun, Gospel, Reggae and African music into his Blues stew, Taj Mahal has become one of the most respected modern Blues performers. Taj Mahal began his music career in the early 1960s when he formed The Rising Sons with guitarist Ry Cooder in Los Angeles. After going solo, Taj had a string of successful albums and singles. Taj Mahal continues to write, record and perform and has collaborated with a number of high profile artists.
