TAG Heuer is a Swiss watch company specializing in high end watches, phones and sunglasses. Since the late 19th century, the company has obtained numerous patents for cutting edge technology in the field of time keeping. Their watches and chronographs are noted for their precision and admired by automobile racers and athletes.

Key Dates

  1. 1860: Edouard Heuer set up watchmaking workshop
  2. 1916: Micrograph stopwatch introduced, accurate to 1/100th of a second
  3. 1960: Super Autavia dashboard chronograph introduced to keep track of times for racing cars
  4. 1962: John Glenn wore a TAG Heuer stopwatch when he orbited the Earth
  5. 1980: Official timekeeper of the Moscow Olympics
