Presidency
Tabare is the first elected President of Uruguay who didn't belong to the National (Blanco) Party or Colorado parties. His administration is focused on alleviating poverty, restoring diplomatic ties with Cuba, and human rights issues. Blanco implemented a smoking ban in Uruguay, in March of 2006.The Dominion: Uruguay implements smoking ban
