T Mobile G1 Apps

T Mobile G1 apps are small programs that add to the functionality of the G1, a mobile phone running the new Google Android operating system. Apps are available through the Android Market, which has over 20,000 Apps available, as of December 2009.

Several websites have emerged that allow easy browsing of the Android Market, like:

• AndroidZoomhttp://www.androidzoom.com/, which shows the latest applications and games on the frontpage, plus all categories, with the number of Apps in it.
• AppBrain http://www.appbrain.com/ lets you find apps via search, rankings and categories.
• Cyrkethttp://www.cyrket.com/ aims to help users find Apps using "advanced data analysis and extraction"
• Touch Market, which calls itself "The most complete Android Application List".http://android.touch-market.com/

Apps for the Android are distributed in the Android Market, which opened to the public on October 22, 2008.http://www.android.com/market/

The Android Market is split in three sections:

• Featured
• Top Paid
• Top Free

All sections show up ot 40 Apps, which range "Best" for its section.

Android Apps are categorized in: Comics, Communication, Entertainment, Finance, Health, Lifestyle, Multimedia, News & Weather, Productivity, Reference, Shopping, Social, Sports, Themes, Tools, Travel, Demo, Software libraries and several Games categories.

• ShopSavvy: Helps you find product details, based on the product's barcode, which can be scanned in using the camera of the prone, of by entering the product name.
