Poitier would first garner national attention for her recurring role on the hit television show Joan of Arcadia. She would follow that up with a recurring role on Veronica Mars starring Kristen Bell. In 2007, she would appear in the high profile Quentin Tarantino film Death Proof as Jungle Julia.-
