During the summer of 2009, it had been expected that 120-160 million doses of H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine would be available during October. Background

Development of an H1N1 vaccine began in the summer of 2009, and widespread distribution was expected to begin in October 2009. Although shipment of the vaccine to states began on October 5, there is less vaccine available than expected.
