Boston Swine Flu Plans
Boston mayor Thomas Menino has called a Swine Flu summit of city leaders and health officials on August 21, 2009 to develop a plan to cope with an anticipated resurgence of Swine Flu this fall. The Massachusetts Pandemic Response bill passed the state senate in the spring, but has not passed the house yet. Provisions would include forced quarantine, fines for those who refused vaccination, and other aspects that are reminiscent of martial law.
