The Sweet Sixteen is a term which is used in several sporting events to determine the final 16 teams or athletes left in a competition bracket. The term is mostly associated for its use during the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments. This page is dedicated to the coverage of the Sweet Sixteen in that event. The Sweet Sixteen teams compete to decide who moves on to the Elite Eight, then the Final Four, which eventually leads to the championship game.
