Sweet Caroline

Neil Diamond's popular song "Sweet Caroline" was released as a single on September 16th, 1969. It became popular when Diamond performed it on television in the Fall of 1969. The popularity of the song made it reach #4 on the Billboard chart, which made it go platinum selling over a million singleshttp://www.billboard.com/bbcom/bio/index.jsp?pid=4456&aid=5629 and in 1971 it reached #8 for singles on the UK charts. The song has three mixed versions 1. the original mono 45 mix had a loud orchestra glockenspiel compared 2. the stereo version on the Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show LP 3. remix found only on Neil Diamond's "His 12 Greatest Hits" for its initial release CD.
