British glam rock band Sweet became popular during the 1970s with hit songs such as "Ballroom Blitz," "Wig Wam Bam" and "Fox On The Run." They looked like outlandish hard rockers but the sound was very poppy, with simple sing-along lyrics and ultra-accessible hooks aplenty.
