Swedish Meatballs

  • Swedish meatballs are made by combining beef, pork or veal with a filler of flour or bread crumbs along with various spices and served with brown or white gravy.
  • Easy Swedish Meatball Recipe

    1. 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    2. 1 - 6 ounce package of boxed stuffing mix for pork
    3. 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
    4. 1 small onion (chopped)
    5. 1 and 1/4 cups water
    6. 1 - 12 ounce can or jar or beef gravy
    7. 1/2 cup sour cream

  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Mix meat, stuffing mix, eggs, onion and water until well blended.
    3. Shape into medium small meatballs
    4. Place meatballs in a 13x9 inch baking dish.
    5. Bake for 20 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
    6. Mix and heat beef gravy and sour cream in large saucepan.
    7. Add meatballs and stir lightly. Try not to break the meatballs.
    8. Cook on low for another 5 minutes.
    9. Serve over noodles or rice.
