A survivor of the Arizona sweat lodge ceremony led by guru James Arthur Ray said that the guru pushed participants too far, leading to three deaths and nearly two dozen other suffering serious injuries that required hospital care. Beverly Bunn, a 43-year-old participant says that the participants had undergone days of physically and mentally strenuous events, including fasting.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33415987/ns/us_news-life/
People began vomiting, gasping for air and collapsing within an hour of entering the sweat lodge on October 8, 2009 but, according to Bunn, Ray urged everyone to remain inside the lodge. Allegedly, Ray, when told that a participant couldn't move or even wake up, responded by telling the participants "Leave her alone, she'll be dealt with in the next round."http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33415987/ns/us_news-life/
When someone lifted the back of the tent to let in fresh air, Bunn says Ray demanded to know who did it and called it a "sacreligious act." Police investigators may bring charges in this case against the millionaire self-help guru. Sheriff's investigators are considering the deaths as homicides but have not released an official cause of death.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33415987/ns/us_news-life/
