Swatch Watch

A Swatch Watch is Swiss watch made for style, efficiency, without high cost. Swatch is owned by the Swiss company Swatch Group Ltd., which accounts for a large majority of all Swiss watchmaking operations. Swatch watches are sold in department stores across the United States, as well as at Swatch retail locations.

Swatch, a combination of the words "second" and "watch," popularized the idea of the watch as fashion accessory, and as a somewhat disposable object. Though as a brand it peaked in popularity in the 1980s, Swatch continues to sell a wide variety watches including sports watch for diving, skiing, and data receiving styles.
