While Kosmas was in office, she made space exploration one of her main priorities (this was also one of the main issues of Feeney, who she replaced). Contributing to the this focue was the fact that a large part of her district fell on the Space Coast of Florida, and with the space shuttle set to be decommissioned Kosmas worked to ensure future work for her constituents.http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/external/pre-election/bios/52961.html?SITE=NPRELN&SECTION=PREELECTION&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT
