Susan Flannery is an American actress who was born and raised in New York and grew up on East 51st Street. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater at Stevens College in Missouri and attended graduate school at Arizona State University.
Discovered
She was discovered by producer Irwin Allen and she made her television debut in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Soon she was offered the role of Dr. Laura Horten on Days of Our Lives. She portrayed the role for eight years in which she earned an Emmy Award. She has played the role of Stephanie Douglas Forrester on the soap opera Bold and the Beautiful since 1987. Susan Flannery was fortunate to be able to work with some of the finest actors in show business. She was cast as Robert Wagner's secretary in the movie The Towering Inferno which won her a Golden Globe for Outstanding Acting Debut in a Motion picture. She received an Emmy nomination for her role in the NBC mini-series The Moneychangers, opposite Kirk Douglas. She has also been in two other television movies, one of which was Woman in White and the other Anatomy of a Seduction. When Susan Flannery is not on television she is a licensed pilot. She is also a gourmet cook and loves to travel. She has been fortunate to tour Egypt, Russia and China.
