Survivor Tocantins Episode 5
- CBS Video: Survivor Tocantins Episode 5 (Time: 43:06)
- Twelve are left, who will be voted out tonight?
- At Jalapao on day 13, Taj is having Stephen scratch her back, literately. Taj has admitted she is the one who wrote Joe's name down at tribal council, as she couldn't bring herself to write down Sandy's name.
- Taj found the immunity idol. Both idols are now in place for their 4-way 2-tribe alliance. Taj has given it to Stephen for safe-keeping. (Stephen is going to try and keep it in his passion, no matter. what happens.)
- Over at Timbira, Brendan and many others are setting up camp for the day. Sierra confronts Brendan about him not telling her about the 4-way alliance. He admits that he didn't have the time to let her know about it, and that he has the hidden immunity idol. She seems truly excited to be a part of the alliance, "we're going to take over the whole world."
- The tribal challenge is upon us. It will be played in rounds. Each round one member will be seated on a sitting platform. Attached to each platform is a rope that an opposing tribe member will pull, causing the platform to spin. The person on the platform must then get up and make their way across a balance beam. First person to the finish line wins one point for their tribe. First team to three wins.
- For their reward, they will be taken to the Charmin Cafe for coffee, pastries and a working toilet with Charmin toilet paper. Oh, and also send someone to exile.
- Taj and Tyson are the first to be spun. Taj is trying to go too fast instead of taking a moment to get her balance.
- Tyson wins one point for Timbira.
- It's now Erinn vs Spencer. Spencer seems unaffected and wins one for tribe "J." The score is now tied.
- Third round, it's JT vs. Sierra. They are both struggling and can't seem to shake it off. JT wins for tribe "J."
- It's now Debbie vs. Sydney. Sydney falls off, but gets back on to still beat Debbie. Jalapao wins reward. They choose Brendan to go to exile, Brendan choses Stephen. Tyler is instantly worried about Brendan making an alliance with the other tribe.
- Jalapao has arrived at the Charmin Cafe, they are totally thrilled to see the pastry spread laid out on the table for them. Taj is happy that she's finally not in exile for a reward challenge. They received surprise letters from home! Everyone is in tears as they read the letters from their loved ones. JT is especially happy, as his mother has only told him 3 times that she loved him, but stated that she loved him in her letter.
- Over at Timbira, they are in poor spirits, but are curious about Brendan's reasoning for not taking Taj again. Debbie warns Coach not to tell Sierra, but they all feel Brendan is making an alliance with another tribe.
- Erinn is getting frustrated with Coach thinking he's the end-all be-all of camp.
- At exile, Brendan and Stephen verify their alliance. Stephen is a little wary of Brendan and won't put his entire faith in this 4-person alliance.
- It's day 15 at Jalapao, Sydney is telling Spencer about her weird dreams and admits that she's found the man in her life. She asks Spencer if he's found that lucky girl yet, he says no and doesn't admit that he's gay. He feels that it wouldn't be a good choice for him in the game to admit that he's gay.
- Time for the immunity challenge. Stephen and Brendan have returned from exile.
- Two members of each tribe will launch balls into a field. The rest of the members will be down field and trying to catch the balls. First team to catch 5 balls (theirs or the opposing tribe's) wins.
- JT catches the first one for Jalapao. JT catches the second one also. Joe hurt his knee while diving to catch one. Brendan catches one for Timbira. Brendan catches another, the score is tied 2-2. JT catches another one, but lost a tooth in the fall! He's chucked it in the water and is ready to go back to the game! Jeff makes them stop to find it. (JT's bleeding, but still wants to continue!) JT has caught another one! It's 4-2 Jalapao! Tyson catches another one. Timbira is still alive. Tyson snags another one. It's match point, anyone's game!
- Tyson scored for Timbira and wins immunity!
- JT says that he doesn't want to get rid of anyone, but it has to be Spencer. (Noooo!)
- Back at camp, Joe's knee is starting to swell. Taj thinks Spencer's play today was worse than hers. Taj tells everyone to "kiss her ass" and asks everyone to do what's best for the team. They take it surprisingly well. She gets sassy again and tells them that none of them have come to her to try and be friends or make an alliance. Joe thinks her talking like this will get her voted off.
- After Taj leaves the guys in the lake, they decide to vote her out.
- Stephan is conflicted. He knows it could be in his best interest to vote Taj out that way the idol is totally his. On the other hand, he knows the secret alliance might be a good thing.
- It's still up in the air.. Spencer or Taj may be going home. JT lets Spencer know that he was pissed about Spencer's performance at today's challenge.
- At tribal council, Spencer admits that his performance was pretty pathetic. Taj says her tribe can feel the effects of losing and that everyone's on edge. Taj admits to going off and yelling at everyone out of frustration. Spencer says that he understand where Taj is coming from. Joe is worried Taj is hiding the immunity idol, but then changes his tune after she turns to him and says that she doesn't have it.
- Votes that are shown:
- Spencer has voted for Taj.
- Taj has voted for Spencer.
- First vote: Spencer
- Second vote: Taj
- Third vote: Spencer
- Fourth vote: Spencer
- Fifth vote: Spencer
- Spencer is the 5th person voted off of Survivor Tocantins.
- Spencer's last words: "I just got voted out after lasting 15 days, but I could have definitly lasted a lot longer. I made some friends while I was out there and I hope they feel the same way. It was frustrating that they felt like I wasn't useful enough in challenges, it was just a really bad challenge for me today."
- No Survivor next week? We have to wait 2 weeks for a special Wednesday night episode? OK, now I'm mad. First they take Spencer from me, now they make me wait two weeks to see everyone else? Not cool.
