Survivor Tocantins Episode 3
- CBS Video: Survivor Tocantins Episode 3 (Time: 43:06)
- Fourteen are left, who will be voted out tonight?
- Timbira, night 6.
- Erinn is a bit concerned that she'll be the next person voted off because she was friends with Candace.
- Coach is upset at the way Erinn is talking to the tribe and essentially sticking up for Candace. He says "she's made her bed and now she has to lie in it." (Erinn didn't say anything all that bad, only that she wanted as chance to decide for herself whether or not to trust Candace.)
- Man, are the commercials 20 minutes long here? Sure feels like it. Hurry up and die Jack, let's get back to the show.
- Timbira, day 7.
- Erinn wakes up still concerned her tribe has associated her with Candace. She feels that she'll have to work extra hard in the challenges and avoid tribal counsel.
- Jerry has an upset stomach due to the food. He's skipping meals and the tribe is showing concern for him. He's pretending to be happy for his tribe-mates, but inside is miserable.
- Jalapao day 7.
- They have the net out and are trying to fish, but seems like they can only catch sardine sized fish. They have a bit better luck using the fishing poles, but they are still pretty small. While eating their first meal, everyone is totally appreciative of the meal and is content.
- Time for a challenge!
- Six members of each tribe will be blindfolded in pairs. The remaining member of each team will guide the pairs through a huge wooden maze in a quest to find a bucket. Once they have the bucket, they will fill it with water at one end of the maze before turning around to head back to the start. The tribes must fill a container with enough water to raise their flag. (Looks like they'll need about 30 gallons.) After their water flag has been raised, they must repeat the process, but instead getting dry corn instead of water. The winning team will get a tarp, umbrella, pillows, chairs and more. Also, the winning tribe will send a member of the losing tribe to exile.
- The caller for Jalapao is Joe and the caller for Timbira is Debbie.
- Jalapao was first to find a bucket.
- All members of Jalapao have a bucket, while Timbira is struggling.
- Brendan and Jerry are tied together, and can't tell the difference between left, right and backwards.
- Timbira is totally behind. Jalapao has 3 buckets in, Timbira has none.
- Jalapao has raised their first flag, they are now working on their corn. JT gets a nasty mouthful of corn as he fills the first bucket.
- Debbie is getting pissed off watching her team.
- Jalapao wins reward. They chose to send Brendan to exile, Brendan chooses Taj to go with him. Spencer doesn't seem to be shocked the pair is headed back together.
- Coach is frustrated because they lost. "Winners find a way to win, losers find a way to lose, we've got to get it together."
- After the challenge, Timbira heads back to camp, all a bit disappointed after losing. Jerry wants a tribal meeting later tonight. Debbie is concerned that she let everyone down. Coach asks everyone not to go off in groups and decide who screwed up.
- Coach immediately goes off with Tyler and starts whining about how much Sierra screams and Erinn whines. Nice, didn't he just ask the tribe not to do that? Coach wants Erinn out next then strokes Tyler's ego by calling him his "assistant coach."
- Back at Jalapao, the tribe is as happy as pigs in... Well, never mind. They are just happy.
- They are covering their shelter with their newly won tarp.
- Over at Timbira, Coach is whining about not needing comfort, the only thing he wants it to win the game.
- At exile, Taj picked the correct urn and got the clues. She chooses to tell Brendan the clue. He has a few ideas of where to search for the idol once he gets back to camp. They each pick a person from their tribe to send next time, in hopes of not calling attention to themselves and creating a secret 4-way alliance.
- Day 9, Jalapao.
- After a long night of rain, Jalapao is excited to think of how miserable it must be for those at Timbira.
- Time for the immunity challenge. Brendan and Taj return to their tribes, no mutiny.
- Two members of each tribe will race moving a huge crate to the other side of a long playing field. Then another set will go, until the tribes have 6 crates. Once they have all six, they must place the blocks in such a manner to spell out their tribe name creating a staircase. First tribe to spell their tribe name and get all their members on the tower will win immunity.
- JT and Taj with Jalapao pull ahead in the first round.
- In the second round, it totally flops and Timbira pulls ahead.
- Third round, Timbira stays ahead, but not by much.
- Jerry may have hurt himself on the way back with the crate.
- Timbira has a huge lead, they are now working on getting the crates to build a staircase creating their tribe name.
- Erinn and Tyler are arguing about what crate will go where.
- Jalapao is quickly catching up.
- Wait, it's neck and neck!
- Jalapao wins immunity!
- After losing, Jerry hangs his head over the crate and says "I'm beat, I'm through, I'm finished." Coach goes over and pats him on the back with encouragement.
- Taj is in tears as she accepts the immunity idol for the tribe.
- Jerry feels responsible for the loss because he feels weak due to his stomach problems. He feels the tribe may vote him out next.
- Back at Timbira, the camp is trying to comfort Jerry, but he's remaining quiet and deep in thought. Jerry says that he won't quit, they'll have to vote him out.
- At the lake, Brendan asks Tyler, Sierra, and Erinn and Coach if Jerry is OK. The moment Erinn realizes Jerry isn't feeling well, she grins and says "well that's easy" (wanting to vote him out.) Coach catches on to what Erinn is up to and talks to Tyler alone, telling Tyler of Erinn's "evil" reaction to hearing about Jerry. They both agree to vote Erinn out and agree to talk to the girls about getting rid of Erinn.
- Sierra isn't ready to vote off Erinn, she feels it would be stupid to keep Jerry because he really is sick.
- Tyler lies to Jerry's face after Jerry asks Tyler if anyone has brought Jerry's name up to be voted off.
- Brendan is off searching for the hidden immunity idol. Brendan lifts up the skirt of the treemail totem pole and finds the hidden immunity idol! He's buried it out in the woods for safe keeping.
- Jerry is still refusing to eat, but tells the tribe that he's feeling better.
- Tyler knows Jerry may go tonight, but wants to see Erinn cry after getting voted out.
- At tribal counsel, Tyler thinks they need to focus and get together to flip the game back around.
- Erinn vents her frustration at people not listening to her during the last challenge.
- Brendan feels the group communicates very well, Jerry disagrees, saying that today's challenge showed that they didn't communicate well and that they should establish a leader. Jeff asks Jerry who the leader should be, Jerry replies "Brendan." (OMG you should see the look on Coach's face, he looks pissed off!) Coach quickly steps up and gives his little speech about why he should be leader (Something about being able to tell people what to do just with his eyes. Insert eye-roll by Erinn.) Erinn thinks that Coach is used to being leader, but feels that Brendan would be better.
- Jerry feels tonights vote will make the tribe better because it will get rid of the weakest person.
- Time to vote!
- Erinn votes for Jerry, saying "I hope you feel better."
- Jerry votes for Erinn, saying "I love you sweet love, but we've made a decision."
- Those were the only votes shown.
- Vote 1: Jerry
- Vote 2: Jerry
- Vote 3: Erinn
- Vote 4: Jerry
- Vote 5: Jerry
- Jerry is the third person voted off of Survivor Tocantins. Coach and Tyler are in shock.
- Jerry's last words: "As far as my experience in Afghanistan and in the military career, this by far was the toughest thing I've ever endured in my life. I don't know what happened to my stomach, but in 130 degree heat, and me not being able to eat anything, took a toll on my body. I'm hoping and praying that one of my tribe members will win that million dollars."
- Next week on Survivor Sydney starts flirting with the boys. Timbira loses their minds, Tyler dances around in a loin-cloth. Taj asks Stephen to join what will be "the biggest upset in Survivor history."
