Survivor Tocantins Episode 2
- CBS Video: Survivor Tocantins Episode 2 (Time: 43:04)
- It's night 3 at the Jalapao camp. They are on a mission to make fire, and their spirits seem broken from having to vote out Carolina. Secretly, Sandy is grateful for Carolina's big mouth and is grateful to be in the game still. Sounds like the tribe still wants Sandy to go.
- On the morning of day 4, the Jalapao all agree they need protein. They are on a mission to find termites to eat. Spencer is missing comfort foods from home, but eats the termites. Sandy wants to save a few for fishing, but is told to eat them instead. Nasty! Sydney couldn't eat the big ugly worms they found, but said that if it were for a challenge she could do it.
- Over at the Timbira tribe, they are unable to make fire. Sierra feels she's still on the outs with her tribe, so she asks Brendan to help her find the hidden immunity idol. (Brendan was the only one who didn't vote her out in the first impression vote on episode one.) She found the first clue with no trouble. As they are digging, the rest of their tribe is wondering where they are. Busted! As Debbie meets them, Brendan tells her that they are building a massive fire pit. Debbie totally fell for it! Back at camp, Candace pipes up and says that she won't go to the beach for a fire, she wants to stay at camp.
- Later that day, the Timbira camp finally has fire and is talking about the best way to cook the rice and beans. Coach is getting a little snooty about the way Candace wants to cook them. Coach is getting looks from the other tribe members. Hmmm...
- Later on when Coach apologizes, he tries to kiss Candace. After a little flirting back and forth, she finally lets him kiss her on the neck, but instead he tries to lick her!
- Back at Jalapao, Taj is asked what her husband does. She tells them that he's a football analyst, but it doesn't take them long to figure out she's married to Eddie George, a Heisman trophy winning NFL football player.
- Stephen has no clue who Eddie George is and feels like an idiot because all the other guys know who he is.
- JT is wondering about Taj's status on the tribe because he now believes that she doesn't need the money.
- Tribal challenge time!
- Three members of each tribe will race through the water (in the lake) to grab a ball. They will work together to shoot the balls into a basket. The opposing team members will try to block the other members from scoring goals. (Just like basketball in the water.) Teams will be drawn randomly. First team will win immunity and fishing gear. Oh, and it's pouring down rain. The winning team will send a member of the losing team to exile island. First team to 3 wins.
- Debbie will sit out to even up the teams.
- Round one:
- Stephen quickly gets the ball, but Taj gets the ball and misses. Candace is tossing some little blond girl around and swimsuits are flying!
- Candace scores for Timbira.
- Round two:
- Brendan gets the ball and passes the ball to Tyson. JT takes Tyson down! Sandy is holding on to Erinn by the back of her swimsuit!
- Tyson scores for Timbira.
- Round three:
- It's all women! Sierra is first to the ball. Taj is just pushing people over and is totally dominating the women. Taj throws Candace off of her and tries to score but misses.
- Sydney scores for Jalapao. Score is now Jalapao 1, Timbira 2.
- Round four:
- Now it's time for an all men battle. Brendan has the ball, but Joe is on his back. Coach isn't even in the game, he's totally lagging!
- JT scores for Jalapao, the score is tied.
- Last round! Sydney is the first to the ball but Sierra takes her down. The ball is everywhere and Candace and Taj are on each other. Sierra shoots and misses. Sydney shoots and misses. Stephen has the ball and shoots! He scores!
- Jalapao has won immunity.
- They choose to send Brendan to exile island. But now it's time for the twist! Jeff tells Brendan that he must choose one member of the winning tribe with him. It's going to be Taj that goes with Brendan.
- Tyson sees that Sierra is trying, but believes she's still "numero uno" on the chopping block.
- Back at camp, Jalapao is ready to fish. Sandy is thrilled they won because she thinks there was a 50% chance that she would have gone home.
- JT teaches everyone how to use the net. Stephen is "smitten" with JT and his country-boy ways. (Another bromance coming? Remember Charlie and Marcus from Survivor Gabon?)
- Their fishing trip was unsuccessful, but Stephen is happy because he and JT have forged a friendship.
- At exile island, they find rice and fire off the bat! They must each choose an urn. There's nothing in Taj's, but in Brendan's it tells him to open his in private. He now has the clue to the hidden immunity idol. He can choose to share the info or keep quiet. He has two notes, one with the clue and the other gives him the option to mutiny and join the other tribe! He says there is no chance he'll change tribes.
- Taj is trying everything she can to see what the note says. He finally lets her go with him to search for it, but Taj is going to try and get it first.
- Taj admits to Brendan that she hasn't bonded with anyone from her tribe. They have created a bond and know that they'll have each other's backs if they make it to the merge.
- At Timbira, they are shocked that the challenge was so physical. Sierra says that she almost drowned and Jerry is missing a chunk out of his arm.
- After Coach walks away, the rest of the tribe wonders what he is really bringing to the table.
- Debbie runs straight to Coach with Tyson and tells him that Candace is trash talking him. He's fed up with the negative attitude of Candace and is ready to switch his vote from Sierra to Candace.
- Brendan returns to camp and tells them about exile island. He makes it sound like Taj got the clue to the idol.
- Candace is talking to Erinn into voting out Coach, but thinks that it might serve them best to keep him and let him dig his own hole.
- Tyson thinks Sierra might be too small for many of the challenges.
- Coach tells Sierra that he won't vote her out tonight and that he'll vote out Candace. She is very uncomfortable with going to tribal council.
- Candace feels that the rest of the tribe knows she is strong and they won't vote her off.
- Timbira enters the tribal challenge hut for the first time.
- Jeff wants to know from Sierra how she felt when she was voted for on first impression day. She replied that she understood the vote, she really did feel sick and knew it showed on her face.
- Tyson tells the tribe that she seemed to be struggling in the heat. Candace admits to feeling resentment towards Sierra because she got to take a helicopter ride when everyone else had to hike. Candace feels like she's got a good vibe with the group.
- Coach says that at this point in the game you have to go with your intuition.
- Jerry is surprised how quickly the issue of trust reared its head in the game and admits that this vote is hard. Erinn makes a funky look and is called out by Jeff, she says that they barely know each other. Debbie pipes in disagreeing, saying they are not at the Holiday Inn, this is Survivor and feels that she has built trust with several members on the tribe.
- Votes shown:
- Sierra votes out Candace, saying that no one wants a snake in the grass.
- Wow, that was the only vote shown!
- No one has played the hidden immunity idol.
- First vote: Candace
- Second vote: Sierra
- Third vote: Candace
- Fourth vote: Candace
- Fifth vote: Candace
- Sixth vote: Candace
- Candace has been voted off of Survivor. Boy does she look pissed off!
- Last words of Candace: "I'm surprised. I'm really pissed off. I worked really hard. I worked in the challenges, I worked on camp. I did everything I could to try and make Timbira stronger, I thought that was the goal. But, I guess this is more like day camp, in the long run I was an asset and they are going to need me."
- Next week on Survivor Brazil tribes are hit hard by what looks like deer corn? Taj makes a secret 4-way alliance.
