On the eighth episode of Survivor Gabon, Randy gets mad at Susie for laughing about voting off Dan Kay at the last tribal council. Corrine is angry with Susie because Susie said that she was physically stronger than Corrine. Both tribes meet for what they believe will be a merge, but find an immunity idol. They decide as a group to cast the idol to the sea. Each tribe member picks a colored stone out of a bag and the tribes get rearranged dependent on the color of their stone. Matty wins immunity. Susie turns her back on her original tribe and aligns with the new, causing Marcus to be voted off. For current spoilers and recaps, please see our Survivor Gabon spoilers page.

- Sugar admits to trusting Ken more than she trusted Ace.

- They all think the merge is coming tomorrow. Sugar asks everyone not to tell the other tribe that she has the idol. Everyone agrees.
- Kota, Day 22
- Corrine is still pissed about Susie. She's telling Marcus all about it as they check the tree-mail together. She's ready to throw Susie under the bus.
- The tree-mail reads: "For a feast that will be catered and enjoyed under the sun, It's time to party ON the Equator. Like a "beach bash"... so have some fun. Take only your personal possessions, all you need awaits your arrival. A brand new tribe, a brand new game, a new game of Survivor."
- Randy gives a last minute little speech about them having six and the other tribe having four.
- Everyone meets on the beach to a huge spread of food with meatloaf, chicken, wine and more. . They have a box to open after they are done eating.
- Ken notices the writing on a piece of paper underneath the box. He tells Matty that it's the clue for the next immunity and grabs it before Charlie does. The note said he could share it or keep it to himself, he initially wanted to keep it to himself, but Charlie opened his mouth about what it was, forcing Ken to share the contents.
- "You have just discovered a clue to another hidden immunity idol. Do you keep it a secret or share? Either way, you must find it before your day at the beach is over... On the sand lies a large dead log cradled in the crook of a tree. Beneath the end of the tree's lowest limb you can dig for immunity."
- They discuss leaving the idol there, but Marcus doesn't believe it. Bob says they don't need the idol and think they should set it adrift.
- Randy found the idol in less than seven minutes. Randy offers it to anyone who wants it. No one is jumping up for it. It's the forbidden apple. Crystal tells Matty not to touch it. She wants it, but knows she'll be a target with it.
- They tie it to a beer bottle and set it adrift in the ocean.
- Randy must be drunk, he's on the beach claiming all the members are his and that he's the king of the island.
- They actually tossed it! These people have flipped their lids!
- First note is out of the box! "In this bag there are 10 numbered stones. Without looking, each tribe member will grab a stone. When you are finished, read note number two."
- The second note says "Congratulations, you have just divided yourselves into two new tribes."

- Ken is amazed at the difference in camps. They all do the bump-fists thing. Ken is worried because of the numbers, all he has is Crystal. Everyone is amazed that Crystal and Kenny have a person in the real-world in common. Crystal is the cousin of one of his best friends!
- Marcus seems worried that this will affect his game, he's calculated voting her out and feels an internal conflict on what to do. He thinks she's a cool girl and wants to keep her.
- Crystal tells Marcus that she will not write down him, Ken or Bob. (Then later admits that her saying that is all part of the game, she told Ace the same thing.)
- Fang, Day 22
- Charlie is ready to still execute his plan with the Kota six, as both the new tribes have one more member of the original Kota six than the old Fang members.
- Charlie brings Corrine to the side and tells her that Sugar has the idol. She wants Matty gone in a bid to get to Sugar.
- Matty tells Sugar that he's upset that she turned her back on Ace and tells her that Ken lied to her. She's in tears and feels she may have made a big mistake. Matty and Sugar agree to watch each others back.
- Kota, Day 23
- Corrine and Susie are gathering wood.
- Bob and Marcus are worried about the final six breaking up. Marcus is worried about Susie selling him down the river.
- Susie tells Marcus that she will have to make a decision to go one way or the other. She tells him that she's the last of the six and will be the first to go. He offers her no reassurance.
- Fang, Day 24
- Corrine is worried about that "Crazy b***h Susie." Randy seems to be on board with taking out Matty.
- More tree-mail! "If you can't keep it up there is reason to worry, you may be the first to join the jury."
- Matty is concerned about how much time he has left in the game and will give this challenge his all.
- Time for the immunity challenge!
- Corrine admits that she doesn't feel at home in the new Fang camp, she won't even pronounce the name right because it has such a bad connotation.
- In today's challenge, each member will keep their arms outstretched to the side with poles on top of round boards they are holding. If they move their arms even slightly, the poles will come crashing down and they will be eliminated. The first team to have all their members eliminated will go to tribal council. The stations are based on height so everyone has a fair shot.
- Crystal is out in one second!
- Sugar is out seconds after!
- Susie is out. Kota has three members left.
- Randy is out, along with Corrine. Two Fang members left.
- Ken is out.
- Marcus is shaking, he's giving it his all, but fails.
- Kota only has Bob left! He's up against Charlie and Matty from Fang.
- Charlie is out.
- It's Bob vs Matty for the win!
- Bob is starting to shake, Matty is laughing.
- Bob is out. Matty wins immunity for the Fang tribe! Bob put out a fantastic effort.
- Randy says their win doesn't matter, if they would have lost Matty would have gone home.
- Kota, Day 24
- Everyone is giving Bob major kudos for his near victory. Marcus wants Ken to go home tonight.
- Marcus wants to know how Crystal feels about voting Ken and then replacing Susie in the Kota six. She seems to be game. But privately, she's not happy with voting out Ken.
- Marcus tells Susie that Ken needs to go tonight and Crystal soon after. Susie agrees. Privately, Susie wants to stay with Marcus but feels he has too much power.
- Ken and Crystal are trying to figure out a way to get Susie voted off. Crystal tells him of the plans to vote him out, Ken wants to get Susie on their side so they'll have the numbers.
- Crystal is whispering to Susie in the hut, Susie tells Crystal that Marcus promised her final three. Crystal points out that the final six don't like her and that Marcus can't promise her final three because he can't possibly keep that promise with the rest of the tribe against Susie.
- Susie isn't sure which way she will go.
- At tribal council, Crystal says that being in Kota is like corporate espionage. Back at Fang, it was like being in the ghetto.
- Bob says that his strategy has changed now that a merge didn't happen today, he also regrets voting out the person he did at the last tribal council. (That would be Dan.)
- Marcus wants to keep the tribe as strong as possible. Ken says Marcus is full of bulls**t and that Marcus is looking for numbers in the original Kota tribe. Marcus replies saying that he has no reason to keep the Fang members, Kota has won seven challenges in a row against Fang. Ken feels everyone is listening to Marcus as the leader.
- Time for the votes.
- Marcus votes out Ken.
- Crystal votes out Marcus.
- Bob votes out Ken.
- Ken votes out Marcus.
- Interesting. What will Susie do? Of course they don't show it.
- As the votes are tied 2-2, it looks like Marcus' eyeballs are ready to pop out of his head!
- The ninth person voted off of Survivor is Marcus!
- Bob is shaking his head, Crystal looks as if she will bust out with laughter at any moment.
- Next week on Survivor, Randy and Matty get into an argument during a challenge. At Kota, Kenny is the man of the house now that Marcus is gone.
- In his exit statement, Marcus says he feels bad for Bob, he'll forgive those who voted him out, but he won't forget.
