  • Christopher Reeve returns as the title character in the third installment of the Superman film franchise. Richard Pryor so-stars as a computer genius who develops a new type of kryptonite that has devastating effects on the superhero.
  • Plot Summary

    Computer whiz Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) has been hired by Ross Webster (Robert Vaughn), an evil corporate genius striving for world domination. Webster sends Gorman to Clark Kent's home town of Smallville to sabotage a weather satellite, but Superman, who is in town for a school reunion, catches Gorman in the act. In an attempt to foil Superman, Gorman develops a new type of kryptonite which causes Superman to split into two people, one of which is evil. Superman must defeat his evil persona and foil the evil plot of Webster to once again save the world from destruction.
