The Superman Dunks were performed by Dwight Howard at the 2008 and 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. During these performance, Howard, center for the Orlando Magic, retires to a phone booth and changes into a Superman cape before dunking.
In 2009, Howard brought in his own 12 foot backboard to further demonstrate his impressive jumping skills. Howard and Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks were finalists in the 2009 competition. Robinson was the winner with 52% of the votes.
