One of the unlockable stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the Pirate Ship Stage. The stage is based on "The Great Sea" from The Wind Waker. The ship is available only after Toon Link is unlocked in the game. There are several hazards and interactive elements:
- A smaller ship, the King of the Red Lions, will appear to the right at random times, and players can do battle there.
- The ship will land onto a rocky field, and players can do battle for about 30 seconds before the ship leaves the area.
- A catapult appears on the left side of the ship. Anyone near its vicinity will be thrown to the left. At a high percentage, a player can get knocked out.
- A secondary pirate ship fires cannon balls randomly at the Pirate Ship.
How to obtain/unlock
- Play 400 versus matches, then defeat Toon Link
- After completing Subspace Emissary once, go back and fight Toon Link in the Forest Level
- Beat Classic Mode as link AFTER completing Subspace Emissary
- Beat Classic Mode with Ganondorf
