Super Mario Bros. (series) was originally an 8-bit platformer game for the NES, featuring the two adventuring plumbers Mario and Luigi. The Super Mario Bros. franchise is the best-selling video game franchise of all time.
Gameplay
Super Mario Bros. games are typically platformers although in recent games such as Super Mario Galaxy more 3D elements have been introduced. Players collect a variety of power ups such a mushrooms and stars to aid in killing enemies and bosses. Throughout the series Bowser (the main antagonist) kidnaps the Princess and it is up to Mario to save her.
