  • During the 1985 National Football League season, several members of the Chicago Bears decided to record a rap song and video, in anticipation of their winning the Super Bowl. The song became popular and made the Bears seem larger than life. Indeed, not only did the Bears go on to humiliate the New England Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX, but the song, titled The Super Bowl Shuffle, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm & Blues Vocal Performance-Duo or Group. All of the profits from the song were donated to charity.
