Sunset Rubdown is a Canadian indie rock band led by Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade and Swan Lake. The band's third album, Random Spirit Lover, was released in October 2007.

From Frog Eyes and On
Spencer Krug co-founded Frog Eyes with Carey Mercer and is still an active keyboardist for the group. Sunset Rubdown was initially a side project from Frog Eyes and Wolf Parade, and Krug released five EPs before ever producing a full-length album.Their second album, the self-recorded Shut Up I Am Dreaming, was released in 2006 to mostly positive reviews and gave Krug a following beyond the Frog Eyes devotees and Wolf Parade fans who came along for the ride because of the Handsome Furs' Dan Boeckner.
Random Spirit Lover
Random Spirit Lover expanded on the positive reviews of Shut Up I Am Dreaming and marked their first recording Indiana-based Jagjaguwar records. The sound of the record has been compared to David Bowie and Of Montreal.
