Sunday in the Park With George is a Broadway musical written and composed by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The story is set on a 19th century Sunday afternoon in France.
Plot Synopsis

The play follows a fictional version of the life of French painter Georges Surat. Interaction between Surat and his mistress and model, Dot, are explored as well as his creativity on the canvas.
2008 Tony Awards

Although nominated for nine awards in the 2008 Tony Awards competition, the production failed to receive even one.
