Summer Cocktails

Summer Cocktails typically contain rum, vodka, and fruit juices, and can be enjoyed at night or during the daytime. You may use the recipes provided in the links below, or create your own cocktail by mixing 1-2 ounces of alcohol with 3-4 ounces of your favorite fruit juice along with some sweet and sour mix, simple syrup, grenadine or sugar. Pour over ice and stir or shake well. Garnish with fruits such as lemons, limes or maraschino cherries.

  • Many summer cocktails are mixed in a blender with ice to make a slushy consistency. Common frozen concoctions prepared in this manner are margaritas, strawberry margaritas, daiquiris and mudslides. Any drink typically served on the rocks can be made into a frozen drink, however. To do this, fill your serving glass with ice and then add liquor and all other other ingredients. Pour entire contents into a blender, and puree until smooth. If your drink is too watery or thin, add more ice as you please until you reach the desired consistency.
