    TMZ.com reported on February 16, 2009, that Knight was assaulted at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, by a man named Robert Carnes Jr., believed to be Akon's business manager.   • Legal Issues

    • 1993: Arrested for assaulting two rappers outside of a studio. Was placed on probation.
    • 1996: Caught on tape assaulting a rival in a Las Vegas casino the night Tupac Shakur was murdered. Knight was sentenced to a nine year prison sentence for violating his probation.
    • 2002: A year after his release from prison, he was sentenced to more jail time for associating with known gang members, a violation of his parole terms.
    • 2004: Suspect Jimmy James Johnson claims that Knight paid him $5,000 to punch rapper Dr. Dre at the VIBE Awards.
    • 2005: Knight was pulled over for making an illegal U-Turn and authorities found marijuana. He was booked and then soon released.
    • 2008: Knight was knocked unconscious by an unknown assailant outside of a nightclub in Hollywood.
