Sugar-free recipes are recipes that do not call for any sugar as an ingredient. Some recipes are sweet from the natural sweetness of the ingredients, such as fruit, while others call for artificial sweeteners. Common artificial sweeteners include Equal, Nutrasweet, Splenda and Sweet N'Low. Natural sugar alternatives include Splenda and Stevia. To make sugar free foods, many cooks simply substitute granulated or powdered sugar with an equal, or somewhat smaller or larger amount, of one or more of these substances (the amount will depend on your chosen sugar alternative).
Method Tips
