In the 2010-11 college football season, the Sugar Bowl selected the Ohio State Buckeyes from the Big Ten to play against the Arkansas Razorbacks from the SEC. Ohio State went 11-1 during the season to rank sixth in the BCS standings. Arkansas finished the 2010 season with a 10-2 record to finish behind the Auburn Tigers in the SEC, who were invited to the title game.
