  • More Than a Pop Band

Most people think of monster hit radio singles when they think of Styx—"Babe" hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts in 1979, and "Lady," "Come Sail Away," "Mr. Roboto" and "Don't Let It End" along with others all hit the top ten as well.

But Styx were more ambitious than many critics gave them credit for, utilizing a unique combination of progressive rock theatrics and arena rock bombast in concert while delivering successful "concept albums" such as The Grand Illusion and Kilroy Was Here.
