Career
Born in the Queens burrough of New York City but raised in Yonkers, New York, Styles began rapping with neighbors and friends Jadakiss and Sheek Louch in 1994. They eventually signed to Bad Boy Records, formed the rap group called The LOX and recorded songs with Notorious B.I.G., Sean Combs and Darren Blackburn. After a prolonged and widely reported battle with Bad Boy to leave their contract The LOX signed to Interscope in 1998. In 2002 Styles released A Gangster and a Gentleman as his debut solo album. He has since released two other albums as a solo artist and continues to perform as a part of The LOX.
