John Doolittle is the representative for the 4th District of California. Doolittle has held this position since 1993. Before his career in politics, Doolittle was a lawyer. In 1981, Doolittle became a member of the California State Senate, a post he held until 1990.

Positions

Since attaining a seat on the California State Senate, Doolittle has supported measures to construct the multi-purpose Auburn Dam, in order to increase the water supply to California. He has also maintained his support of logging in the state he represents. Conversely, Doolittle has been a strong advocate of alternative energy, and has supported the construction hydrogen fueling stations.
