  • Davy Crockett was an American frontiersman and politician who was once dubbed with the nickname "King of the Wild Frontier." He served in the U.S. House of Representatives for three terms, fought in the Texas Revolution and died defending the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.

    1. 1827-1831: Tennessee representative (9th district)
    2. 1833-1835: Tennessee representative (12th district)
    3. October 31, 1835: Left Tennessee to go to Texas
    4. 1836: Died in the Battle of the Alamo
