Davy Crockett was an American frontiersman and politician who was once dubbed with the nickname "King of the Wild Frontier." He served in the U.S. House of Representatives for three terms, fought in the Texas Revolution and died defending the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.

- 1786: Born near Limestone, Tennessee, on August 17. Fifth of nine children.
- 1806: Marries Mary 'Polly' Finley; they have two children together.
- 1815: Polly Crockett dies; Crockett marries Elizabeth Patton, a widow.
- 1821: Elected to the Tennessee State Legislature (serves two terms).
- 1825: Defeated in his first bid for U.S. Congress.
- 1827: Wins his second election campaign for Congress (serves two terms).
- 1831: Defeated for second re-election bid for Congress.
- 1833: Returns to Congress for third term.
- 1834: Considers running for President before opting against it.
