There are many long term and short term effects that stress can have on your body. Stress will make you more likely to get sick. Some other things that can be caused by stress include headaches, constipation, diarrhea, trouble sleeping, irritability, fatigue, anger, lack of concentration, sadness, tension, stomach problems, hives, anxiety, weight loss or gain, high blood pressure and lack of sexual desire just to name a few.
Stress can effect anyone at one point or another. Stress is the body's reaction to pressure, which can be physical or emotional. However, prolonged stress can be harmful and even lead to disease. Stress will always be part of life so it is important to recognize what is stressful to you and learn how to cope with it to maintain mental and physical health.
