Streamy Awards

The Streamy Awards honor shows made specifically for the web. The first annual ceremony was broadcast online live on March 28, 2009 from the Wadsworth Theater in Westwood, California. The second-annual awards program was held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Los Angeles with awards given in 35 categories (12 categories added in 2010). The awards are decided by the International Academy of Web Television, a group that includes bloggers, online personalities, directors, composers and entertainment and technology executives.

The winners are selected by the members of the International Academy of Web Television. There are Audience Choice Awards, for the main categories. You can vote for these categories through the Streamy web site http://www.streamys.org/
