Stony Brook University

Stony Brook University is an institution of higher learning, granting undergraduate and graduate degrees. Its athletic teams are members of the America East conference.

Stony Brook University was founded in 1957 as a secondary school for teachers of math and science. The original location was in Oyster Bay, Long Island. The institution moved to Stony Brook in 1962. Stonybrook.edu: At a glance
