WCW
Sting became one of the most popular WCW wrestlers in the early 1990s. He was a constant babyface and fan favorite of WCW. One of his most famous feuds was with Big Van Vader in 1992. The feud went back in forth for several months. Vader defeated Sting for the World Title, but Sting would come back to defeat Vader to regain his championship. They would swap the belt several times before moving on to new feuds. -
Sting vs. NWO
In 1996, Sting was the first wrestler to stand up to The Outsiders [[Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Shortly after the NWO was formed, They introduced a Sting imposter. Other WCW wrestlers believed that Sting has turned their back on WCW and that he had sided with the NWO. The real sting was slighted at this and declared that he was leaving WCW. Soon after, Sting began appearing in the rafters of NWO events, sporting a new look of white and black face paint and a black trench coat (looking like The Crow. He would soon return to take on the entire NWO and declare his allegiance to WCW. -
