Steven Soderbergh is an Academy Award-winning director, known for such films as Traffic, Erin Brockovich and the Ocean's Eleven film series. After breaking out in 1989 with the low-budget independent film Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Soderbergh directed a number of popular movies, such as Out of Sight and The Limey, before getting nominated for an Academy Award for Erin Brockovich. He is currently directing two films about Che Guevara, Guerrilla and The Argentine, which are both expected to be released in 2008.

Cleopatra Project
Soderbergh is currently working on an interesting interpretation of the classic story of Cleopatra. His vision includes it being in live-action 3D, a rock and roll soundtrack and supposedly having Catherine Zeta-Jones star as Cleopatra and Hugh Jackman as Marc Antony. Tentatively titled Cleo, it is currently in the funding stage. -
