NHL Career
Rucchin was selected second overall in the 1994 NHL Supplemental Draft by the then named Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He was named captain of the Ducks in 2003. Rucchin did not play during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout and was traded to the New York Rangers on August 23, 2005. He signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Thrashers on July 3, 2006.
