Steve McQueen was an American actor, nicknamed "The King of Cool" and was considered one of the biggest box office draws of the 1960's and the 1970's.
McQueen studied acting at Lee Strasberg's Actors' Studio in New York City. He also raced motorcycles and sports cars, often performeing his own stunts in films.
McQueen died of lung cancer on November 7, 1980 at the age of 50.
