    Steve McNair was a NFL quarterback. He last played for the Baltimore Ravens after spending 11 seasons with the Tennessee Titans organization. He was married to Mechelle McNair.

    On July 4, 2009, McNair was found dead in his Nashville home. He had been shot multiple times. Beside him was his girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, with a single gunshot wound to the head.   • Brief Biography

    Although highly recruited out of high school, McNair decided to play at Alcorn State because it was one of the schools that would allow him to play at the quarterback position, oppose to defensive back, which is where most schools wanted to place him. A standout in college, McNair drafted by the, then, Houston Oilers in the first round of the 1995 draft. He was then named the full-time starter in 1997, and lead the team to the Super Bowl two years. McNair was selected to play in the Pro Bowl three times as a Titian, and was the league's MVP in 2003.
  • Career

    McNair finished his career with 174 passing touchdowns, throwing for 31, 304 total yards and a career quarterback rating of 82.8. He also rushed for 3,590 career yards and 37 rushing touchdowns. MacNair was selected to the Pro Bowl three times (2000, 2003, 2005). Along with running back Eddie George, McNair helped lead the Tennessee Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV, coming up just one yard short against the St. Louis Rams. McNair announced his retirement on April 17, 2008.
