Steve Martin, an American comedian, writer, musician and actor, began his professional career as a stand-up comedian in the 1970s. In 2009, Martin reprised his role as Inspector Clouseau for Pink Panther 2.

Saturday Night Live
Several appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and a writing stint on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour led to his breakthrough role as a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
