Professional football tight end Steve Heiden played in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.

Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Heiden played college football with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. He recorded 1,499 yards for eight touchdowns and earned All-American and All-North Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors. Heiden made his professional debut with the San Diego Chargers in 1999, playing in 11 games and making two tackles. He continued with the Chargers for two additional seasons, scoring two touchdowns between 14 receptions. Heiden came to the Cleveland Browns via trade in 2002, then missed time with an ankle injury in 2003.
