  • Steve Eminger is a Canadian professional hockey player in the National Hockey League. He is currently playing for the Florida Panthers.

  • Career Highlights

    Prior to playing in the NHL, Eminger played for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League, starting in 1999. He was drafted 12th overall in the 2002 NHL draft by the Washington Capitals. He made his NHL debut the next year, joining the Capitals for 58 games during the 2003-2004 regular season. Eminger played for the Capitals American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates, during the 2004-2005 NHL lockout. Following the lockout, Eminger returned to the Capitals as a full member of their roster. He re-signed as a restricted free agent with the Capitals on July 17, 2007, but missed much of the 2007-2008 regular season with an ankle injury. Prior to the 2008-09 season, Eminger signed with the Philadelphia Flyers. Eminger was traded from the Philadelphia Flyers to the Lightning on November 7, 2008.
