Early Life
Steve Case was raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended Williams College, from where he graduated with a degree in political science. He then started working at Procter & Gamble.
Birth of AOL
In 1985 he joined the team at Quantum Computer Servies and became vice president of marketing. He eventually became CEO of the company in 1991 and chairman in 1995. In 1991 he changed the company name to America Online. In January of 2001 AOL merged with Time Warner in a $106 billion merger.
