The Living Camera:
Nicknamed The Living Camera, Stephen Wiltshire is a talented artist who accurately draws and paints detailed cityscapes completely from his photographic memory. Stephen has an amazing ability where he can view panoramas briefly, and precisely draw intricate details, as if they were blueprints of reality.
In 2009, he continued to draw landscapes and cityscapes. He's drawn everything from the city of London to Tokyo, Japan, completely from memory. His most valued work sells for as much as £150,000, which is a painting of Times Square at night (oil on board). His work has been featured in museum collections, and has made him a famous artist worldwide.
Early Life
At age three he was diagnosed as autistic, and didn't speak as a child until he turned five when he attended the Queensmill School in London where he became passionate about drawing. In school Stephen communicated primarily through his drawings of animals, London buses, and buildings.

- Cities (J.M. Dent & Sons, London, 1989)
- Floating Cities (Summit Books, New York, 1991) which became a bestseller in England and featured his drawings of Amsterdam, Venice, Leningrad, and Moscow.
- Stephen Wiltshire's American Dream (Michael Joseph, London, 1993) which focused on U.S. architecture and desert landscapes in Arizona.
Stephen Wiltshire: The Human Camera
Stephen Wiltshire is known as the "Human Camera" or "Living Camera." This is an excerpt from the film Beautiful Minds: A Voyage into the Brain, where Wiltshire takes a helicopter journey over Rome and then draws a panoramic view of what he saw, completely from memory.
Stephen Wiltshire - Person of the week
Stephen appeared on ABC News Good Morning America on the 13th of February 2008. Stephen wowed the viewers with a quick sketch of Piccadilly Circus after a 10 minutes glimpse of the landmark. Stephen has also been named as Person of The Week on ABC World News with Charles Gibson. Nick Watt and Olivia Sterns reports.
