  • NHL Career

    Weiss was drafted fourth overall in the 2001 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. He joined the Panthers for seven games of the 2001-02 regular season. During the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, Weiss played in the American Hockey League, for the San Antonio Rampage and the Chicago Wolves. He returned to the Panthers in 2005 to re-sign as a restricted free agent. Weiss renewed his contract with the Panthers on August 23, 2007, to stay with the team for an additional six years.
