Stephen Sommers is an American film director, writer and producer. He was born on March 20,1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended St. John's University and The University of Seville in Spain. He then attended USC School of Cinema-Television. He married Jana Sommers on July 24, 1993 and they have two daughters
Career Overview
Sommers' first motion picture was Catch Me If You Can, in 1989. His notable works are The Mummy released in 1999 and its sequel, The Mummy Returns, released in 2001. In 1994, his Adventure of Huck Finn and The Jungle Book were released by Walt Disney pictures. Both were based on classics. In 2004 he founded his company The Sommers Company G.I.
